5 Ways to Reuse Magazines

5 Ways to Reuse Magazines

After getting hundreds of magazines in the mail over several months, due to mileage rewards for a few flights I had been on, I have searched for several ways to reuse and recycle them.  These are just a few of my favorite D.I.Y. projects that keep me from wasting all of that paper!

1. Envelopes

Its a great way to add an interesting touch of detail to any card!  Find an envelope that fits your card, open it up completely being careful not to tear it, trace the shape onto a magazine page, cut, and paste and your ready to go!
2. Envelope Liners

I love handmade cards and the more creative the better! I love the idea of opening the envelope and before even seeing the card there is a personal touch.  These are also very simple to make! What's not to love! First, open an envelope as if to put the card in, trace the shape onto the desired magazine picture.  With this step make sure to crop an inch around the entire picture to allow for the adhesive part of the envelope to show.  Use a glue stick or adhesive of your choice to attach the picture to the inside of the envelope.

3. Gift Bows

5. Polaroid Gift Tags

These tags are a simple way to add a bit of vintage flair to any gift.  Gluing the magazine square onto a larger piece of white card paper can give you the Polaroid look.

I hope this will help you make the most of your old magazines!
